As part of efforts to empower women and enhance their role in the path of transitional justice, SAM Organization for Rights and Liberties organized a special focus group session on Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Al-Ma’afer District. The session was attended by a number of women victims and community members and centered on discussing a focused questionnaire related to the concept of transitional justice and its mechanisms for implementation in Yemen.

The session witnessed significant interaction from the attendees, who expressed their opinions transparently about the obstacles women face in achieving justice and national reconciliation. The discussions emphasized the importance of addressing women's issues as part of the necessary solutions while highlighting the suffering of victims and the need for fair compensation.

Participants praised the interactive atmosphere of the session and stressed the importance of continuing such activities to maintain ongoing engagement between women and decision-makers. At the conclusion of the session, attendees expressed their hope that these discussions would contribute to achieving social justice and realizing true reconciliation.
