SAM Organization condemned the killing of Amr Omar Abdul-Malik Saleh, 15, on the morning of December 26, 2020, in the market of Jawalat Erim - Al-Qubaytah District, Taiz Governorate, while he was returning from Al-Thawra Basic School, after he took the eighth-grade mid-year exam, when he was shot on his neck and died while in hospital.  The child "Amr" is an orphan and only has his mother and older brother.

SAM confirms that the Houthi militia’s continued sniping of children in Taiz, Al-Bayda and Al-Hodeidah is a war crime against children, as dozens of people are reported being sniped daily and in fatal areas, which is a systematic and deliberate method that requires the actions of children's organizations, headed by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
