SAM Organization for Rights and Liberties, condemned today, Sunday, September 13, 2020, the Houthis militia’s storming of Dr. Adnan Al Sharjabi, Professor of Psychology at Sana'a University, house and seizing his laptop yesterday, Saturday, in Sana'a.

SAM said that the Houthis militia arrested Dr. Al-Sharjabi last Wednesday, September 9, 2020, and forcibly disappeared him since then, noting that he suffers from a number of diseases that may threaten his life, according to a statement that Dr. Al-Sharjabi’s family sent to the Attorney General.

SAM confirmed that the arrest of Dr. Al-Sharjabi by gunmen affiliated with the Houthis militia controlling Sana'a while he was going to the Faculty of Arts is a condemned act and a barbaric behavior against an academic who was defenseless except from the word, a behavior that reveals the Houthis militia’s insistence on making Sanaa a capital intolerable with adversaries, and those who disagree with its sectarian approach.

SAM added that “the Houthis militia must reveal the whereabouts of Dr. Al-Sharjabi, and release him unconditionally, stressing that human rights violators will not go unpunished.
