As part of efforts to promote transitional justice in Yemen, SAM Organization for Rights and Liberties held a focus group session on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the "Develop Your Community" hall in Al-Mudhaffar city. The session was attended by a group of displaced women, victims, and prominent activists. It focused on reviewing the specialized questionnaire on transitional justice and exploring ways to achieve justice for women victims in the context of the ongoing conflict.
The participants engaged in fruitful discussions about the need to enhance women's rights within the framework of transitional justice. They addressed the challenges women face and explored ways to integrate them into future stages of justice and national reconciliation. The participants interacted deeply with the questions raised, emphasizing the importance of their active involvement in shaping Yemen's future, free from marginalization.
At the conclusion of the session, attendees stressed the importance of continuing such dialogues to ensure fair representation of women in the transitional justice process. They expressed optimism that current efforts would mark a significant step toward achieving justice and reconciliation in the country.
